University of Peloponnese - Departament of Theatre Studies (GR)

The Department of Theatre Studies of the University of Peloponnese was founded in 2003 and will have its first graduates in the summer of 2007. The 4-year programme of study includes both theoretical and practical courses in theatre. During the last two years the students are divided into four specialization directions: Acting and directing, Set & Costume design, Dance, Drama studies. Faculty, full-time and adjuncts are predominantly young and very active in research as well as in the professional theatre. The department is based at Nafplion, a beautiful town of Venetian architecture on the North-eastern part of the Peloponnese, near the ancient theatre of Epidaurus.
